which “sheds the blood of Muslims” in Jerusalem, lies in the indifference of Muslims to the first two Qibla, the Aqsa Mosque.
Erdogan warned Israel that it would be the most affected by the situation in the holy places, referring to plans to target the Jewish community frustrated by the Turkish authorities.
In a speech to legislators from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) on Tuesday, Erdogan stressed the need for Muslims to protect the maximum in the same way as the two holy mosques in Mecca and Medina.
“I invite Turkish citizens and all Muslims to visit Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and those who cannot go will send aid to our brothers there,” he said.
“The reason for the recklessness of Israel, which sheds the blood of Muslims is our indifference to our sanctity.”
The Turkish president renewed his refusal to treat Israel with Muslims who come to al-Aqsa to pray, as terrorists, considering that this is a pretext to extract the holy site from the hands of Muslims. He stressed: “Israel, which does not show any respect towards the maximum and the Dome of the Rock, you will see that it will be the greatest damage.”
The Turkish president said he conveyed his thoughts on the treatment of worshipers at Al Aqsa to his Israeli counterpart Reuven Rivlin. “We can not accept the treatment of Jews who go to their synagogues and synagogues in Turkey as terrorists,” he said, referring to protests in Turkey against the backdrop of the situation around the Aqsa Mosque, where a Jewish synagogue was attacked and stoned.
In this regard, Erdogan said that the Turkish authorities have taken the necessary measures to thwart plans for attacks on synagogues and synagogues in Turkish territory.
