The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi met with Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq, the Speaker of the Pakistani National Assembly on Sunday. Ayyaz Sadiq discussed with the Iraqi Prime Minister to resume direct flights between Iraq and Pakistan.
The Office of the Iraqi Prime Minister issued a press statement that Haider Al Abadi met with the Speaker of Pakistani National Assembly and his delegation members in his office on Sunday. They discussed during the meeting about strengthening bilateral relations between both sides in various fields including politics, trade, tourism and economy. They also discussed the current security situation in both countries because both countries are experiencing critical security problems and both are fighting against terrorism in their countries.
The Speaker of the Pakistan’s National Assembly, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq congratulated the Iraqi government for their remarkable achievement in the fight against Daash organization and other militant groups. He praised the speech of Al Abadi in the Parliament that Iraqi people are bravely fighting against Daash organization and other militants groups in Iraq and the same kinds of elements are also being eliminated by the Pakistani Armed Forces, and Pakistan is playing a vital role in the fight against terrorism. Point to be noted that both sides stressed on the importance of direct flights resume between Baghdad and Islamabad. It would also increase the exchange rate of tourists and visitors between two Muslim nations and countries. Haider Al Abadi promised that we are hopeful that relations would be much better between both countries.
