The Iraqi President Fuad Masum said on Tuesday that he is more hopeful about the success of the Supreme Commission for National Reconciliation (CNR),
which was formed recently by three presidencies of Iraqi republic. According to the statement published on the official website of Iraqi Presidency, he delivered his words during a meeting with Jan Kubis, the special representative of the UN Secretary General in Iraq. The statement further indicated that Iraqi President and Jan Kubis discussed on the development process for the national reconciliation project and preparation for reconstruction process in the country. Some other international and regional developments and projects were also discussed that will be executed in the next phase for Iraq by the United Nations Assistance Mission (UNAMI).
The Iraqi President stressed the importance of the economic condition of the citizens that are directly affected by the economic condition of the country. He showed his confidence on the three Iraqi republic presidencies for their success due to forming the Supreme Commission for National Reconciliation. He confirmed his support for not stopping the efforts and energies to meet the specific challenges. He also showed his satisfaction on the support of international communities in the war against terrorism and Daash organization which is considered one of the top priority challenges in the country. He said that restoration of displaced people and the reconstruction process in the liberated areas in also a major and important for the Iraqi government.
