On Monday, The newspaper “Al Arab” , London, published about Saudi Arabia’s invitation to Vice President of the Republic Iyad Allawi and the leader of the National Wisdom Movement Ammar al-Hakim to visit them successively.
The newspaper said in a report, on the occasion of the visit of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr and his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, and seen by “Sky Press,” that “according to government sources, Riyadh invited all Vice President Iyad Allawi, The leader of the Wisdom movement, and Haidar al-Abbadi, the prime minister (who visited Riyadh last month), to visit Saudi Arabia successively, “adding that” Hakim may be the first to meet the invitation. ”
The newspaper quoted a source in the office of Abbadi as saying that “the prime minister carried a message to Saudi Arabia,” saying that “Abadi has notice of it.”
The source refused to “talk about coordination between Abadi and Sadr on this visit,” noting that “Baghdad supports all attempts to strengthen confidence with Iraq’s neighbors.”
According to the newspaper, “there is talk in Baghdad about the possibility of forming a tripartite alliance includes Sadr, Abadi and Hakim, to run in the 2018 elections.”
The leader of the Sadrist movement, Moqtada al-Sadr, went to Saudi Arabia on Sunday at the official invitation from Riyadh.
Al-Sadr called earlier on Iran and Saudi Arabia to exercise restraint and leave the escalation aside, pointing out that a serious and beneficial dialogue between them will keep the region safe and secure and will be the beginning of the end of the sectarian war.
