The Secretary General of Islamic Union of Kurdistan has resigned

The Secretary General of the Islamic Union of Kurdistan region Muhammad Faraj has submitted his resignation.

He was elected four years ago for the Secretary General of Islamic Union of Kurdistan. The Islamic Union has planned to conduct a general session in order to elect their entire leadership. Muhammad Faraj announced his resignation during a press conference and said that it would open new ways for the nomination of other senior elements.

It is important that there are three candidates for the post of Secretary General of the Islamic Union of Kurdistan and those three candidates are Abu Bakr Ali, Muhammad Rauf and Salahuddin Muhammad Bahauddin. Point to be noted that the Islamic Union of Kurdistan is considered the Kurdish branch of Muslim brotherhood in Iraq. It was formed in 1994 under the leadership of Muhammad Bahauddin. At the other hand, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russian government is not interested to solve the Kurdish problems in Syria. He said in a press conference in Athens after the discussion of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras that this is not our business and we will not participate in it.
