An authentic source from the Cabinet informed that Deputy Secretary General of the Iraqi Council of Ministers Immad Al-Khersan has resigned from his post and left Iraq.
The source further added that the Director of Prime Minister’s Office Mr. Mehdi made a phone call to Al-Khersan who left Iraq and went for his residence in the United States. The source also added that Al-Khersan made decision for his resignation because he was against the postponement in signing his order. Mehdi asked him to come back in Iraq and take charge for his new role, but he entirely refused the proposal. He added that Al-Khersan delivered his dissatisfaction in the way that was being managed by the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi.
The Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi had decided to appoint him as the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, but he was delaying to issue order for his appointment order as the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers. Al Khersan said deep sorrow for coming back to Iraq but it can be done by the request of Al-Abadi. So, the Iraqi Prime Minister should request Al Khersan to come back and take charge of his new post as the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers. Al Khersan said that Iraqi Prime Minister assured him that he will appoint me as Secretary General but need to get full power of Secretary General in his hand.
